A Joyful Moment: Bringing a Ceremony to Life in the “Loving You is Easy Peasy” Styled Shoot

Styled shoots have always held a special place in my heart. As a former wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of planning and capturing quite a few styled shoots myself. So, stepping into this vibrant collaboration organized by BW Studio+Events felt like coming full circle, but with a twist—I got to contribute as an officiant rather than the one behind the lens. The hard work and meticulous planning by Blair and Elly, along with the stunning photography by Jasmine from J Lauryn Photography, made it easy for me to slide in and play my part in bringing the ceremony portion to life.

The couple, featured in this shoot, though not celebrating their real wedding day, radiated joy as they exchanged rings once again, reminiscent of their original wedding day. It was heartwarming to see Tierra and James all smiles, fully immersed in the moment. We even incorporated a processional and recessional to capture the essence of those joyous moments that make ceremonies so special. As always, I shared my tips, tricks, and reminders with the couple before we began, ensuring that this styled shoot felt as close to a real ceremony as possible.

On a real wedding day, I like to ensure my attire aligns with the theme of the day, speaking with the couple about their vision and what their wedding party and parents would be wearing. For this shoot, I had the opportunity to see the inspiration photograph featuring beautiful blues and yellows. To complement the color scheme and blend in with the overall aesthetic while being distinct from the groom’s suit, I chose a dusty blue Adriana Papell gown. It’s always a joy to select an outfit that harmonizes with the couple’s colors and enhances the overall look of the ceremony.

I have to say, the color palette and the playful use of lemons really stood out to me. It was such a fresh, fun vibe—perfect for couples looking to add a splash of bold, vibrant energy to their wedding day. The combination of blue, white, and yellow created a lively yet elegant atmosphere that truly made the ceremony setup feel unique and memorable. It was an absolute joy to contribute to this creative endeavor and to witness the beautiful synergy between all the vendors involved.

For me, it is crucial that the couple loves their ceremony and that it resonates with their love story and the atmosphere they want to create for their guests. Celebrating diversity and supporting women-owned businesses is something I am truly passionate about and this styled shoot did just that. It was exciting to be part of an event where everyone had the chance to showcase their talents and contribute to something magical. The color palette and playful use of lemons stood out beautifully, adding a fresh and fun vibe. This creative endeavor highlighted the joy and magic that comes from collaboration and the many talented individuals who make a wedding day spectacular. From the eye catching invitation suite by Amore Creative, to the fabulous florals from Branching Out, to the stunning cake by Delish Cakes, beautiful custom cookies by Sugar Beez and so much more, each zesty detail showcased the vendors creativity.

If you're dreaming of a wedding that bursts with color and personality, take a cue from our “Loving You is Easy Peasy” styled shoot. Start by embracing a bold color palette—vibrant yellows, crisp blues, and clean whites can create a striking contrast that energizes your celebration. Incorporate whimsical elements like 7-foot lemon trees or citrus-inspired centerpieces to bring a fresh and playful touch to your décor. These details not only set a cheerful tone but also provide a memorable backdrop for your photos.

To recreate this look, collaborate with vendors who share your vision and can help bring it to life. From selecting a venue with a clean, modern aesthetic to working with florists and designers who excel in creating bold, statement pieces, each choice contributes to the overall effect. Consider adding personal touches, like custom welcome gifts or a thoughtfully planned weekend itinerary, to make your wedding not only visually stunning but also a truly unique experience for you and your guests.
